Generous-hearted volunteer Scott Powell from fresh produce supplier FerryFast is giving his time on Christmas Day to serve up banana pudding as part of a Christmas feast for children supported by the Chicks charity.

Armed with free bananas donated by Ecuadorian fruit grower, BanaBay, Scott hopes to make a difference to a number of disadvantaged children by dishing up a yummy yet healthy treat.

BanaBay was pleased to assist with the festivities laid on by Chicks, which provides children in the South West region with respite breaks, having worked with a number organisations including FootieBugs – fun-based football coaching for children – to highlight the importance of keeping active and eating well.

Tim Bunting, director of Chicks said:  “It’s great to have support in both ways in terms of people volunteering their time and providing food so we can make our Christmas dinner for disadvantaged children and young carers an even more special occasion.”
